Lately, I've been listening to classical music. I've always found this type of music to be very relaxing, and emotionally powerful. There are definitely some amazing works from composers that most people have heard of. Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Haydn, and Chopin have all captured my heart in both similar and unique ways.
Because of my attraction to classical music even from a young age, I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano. Some of the greatest works of music have been composed and delivered on the piano, and I would love to learn and appreciate this master tool as best as I can. I don't plan on becoming an amazing player, but I want to develop a kind of comfort with this instrument so that I can be comfortable playing beautiful music, and maybe at some point, creating my own.
My interest in classical music started when I was very young and used to listen to my Mother play on the piano. I tried learning at one point, but due to certain circumstances, it didn't turn out well. I honestly hope that this turns out to be some kind of a "hidden skill" as I really do want to be able to play. These days, YouTube pretty much has everything I like listening to. One thing I find cool in particular is people's own interpretations of some compositions.

Web design can be approached in many different ways - some creative, and some just plain and simple. It takes a lot of work and experience for a designer to see web design as an amazing form of expression. In other words, there's so much that can be put towards a design of a website, it can be near obsessive.
Theme based web design is one of the types of design that can either go really well and be successful, or just go terribly wrong and be all over the place. The result, of course, is solely up to the creator's imagination, goal, and desire to achieve something awesome. I have come to the conclusion that web designers with a niche in Illustration have the upper hand in theming, but it can also be done just as well by others with a little bit more effort.
Here are some examples that I believe have successfully managed to portray a "themed" look. I searched through my bookmark database of about 5,000 links (the most tedious thing ever!), as well some CSS Galleries online and found some worth showing: More after the jump...

Hey guys! It's Earth Hour in 10 minutes, and I'm psyched! I hope at least some of you try as best as you can to shut off things that you don't need on. Rock on, guys! Everything will be going off in my house, except the fridge - I can't really unplug that one for several reasons. Have fun in the dark, guys!

So yea, everyone's been getting sick lately, and now I guess it's my turn. I got sick a couple of days ago and I was coughing, sneezing, had a runny nose, headache, and all the other good stuff. I was already sick about 2 weeks ago, and now it has returned to get the best of me.
Being sick has also thrown off my mood to want to write more blog entries, and every time I'd try to write something, I either can't think of what to write, or my writing would sound all weird, like it probably is now.I hope to get better very soon and post some more things. I've been putting together a list of things to write about, and planning some more Photoshop tutorials that I think many of you will find interesting.
I'll beat this cold in no time, and I'll be in full-blown blog action very soon!

Have you ever wondered why so many different types of toilet paper exist? Well, I definitely have, and it bothers me, to an extent. There are soft ones that are quite comfortable to use, and there are really thin and rough ones that can rip a new hole on your behind!
We have Charmin, Cottonelle, Quilted Northern, Scott, and a whole bunch of others probably not worth mentioning. I just don't understand who is fine with having really thin toilet paper where you have to use twice the amount anyway for it not to fall apart in your hands.
If you've noticed, public restrooms use EXTRA THIN toilet paper that are also a lot narrower than what we usually use. Imagine the discomfort and anxiety this causes to those who have trouble with such toilet paper. There have been some health related issues that I've heard about such as the lint from the toilet paper not being healthy for some reason.
Personally, I prefer to "be kind to my behind," so Cottonelle gets my vote - though Charmin and Quilted Northern are good too. I imagine that for all those that are lazy (1000 sheets!) and are concerned with the lint, prefer the Scott brand. I guess there can't ever be that "one" brand that's just right for everyone. What do you guys prefer, and why?

Yep! The MacBook Pro that I purchased less than a week ago has arrived, and I'm super excited! I haven't opened the box yet as I've been very busy with things, but it will be getting a whole lot of attention from me, very soon! I've been waiting for my very own notebook computer of mine, and now the dream has come true.
I look forward to many excellent times with this machine, and I am ready to face the challenges that are set before me. Being able to do everything on the go for the first time will probably be a bit strange at first, but I look forward to many new creative doorways opening up. Let's see how my adaptation to the portable world effects me in the time come.

Don't you hate it when you wake up in the morning and nothing is working out for you? Things not in place, no hair jell, books to pack, lack of new cloths to wear, etc. These are the things that most people usually go through on a tough morning. Today wasn't a good day for me at all.
To start off, I didn't even sleep properly. I would sporadically wake up every hour for about 6 hours with different dreams each time. I usually remember my dreams but I was so disoriented when I woke up, nothing stuck in my head! That sucks because I like to recall my dreams throughout the day and try to figure them out and such.
This morning I had Photography class and absolutely nothing was packed and ready. I had to print out an assignment with a bunch of photos, get my class notebook ready, and prepare my camera and tripod. So yes, I went to class without my notebook. For another class of mine, I ended up not really being prepared because I was supposed to have something completed that I thought wasn't due until a later date. More after the jump...

So you're probably thinking this is just another "eat right and work out" blog post, but it's different because this is my version of it all. I believe that the significance of staying healthy in life cannot be expressed enough! It's important to always have new sources of motivation, and other people's perspectives on such matter.
Exercising is beneficial in so many ways but people still fail to take action no matter how aware you make them. Even to this day, the importance of nutrition and exercise is not emphasized enough in our school systems (at least here in the US). Children don't get the proper exposure to things like how much fun it could be to participate in healthy activities.
Sooner or later, I believe that the obesity epidemic of America is gonna get so bad, the types of actions would have to be taken that absolutely no one will like. Yes, there are many complications in people's lives, but there's still not enough effort being put towards bettering children's lives through activities and education. More after the jump...

Well, after a few months of thinking about purchasing a MacBook Pro, I've made the move and bought it! I current run on an iMac 24" (the last model before the Aluminum ones) with a 500GB HD and 2GB of RAM, which is a phenomenal machine!
The MacBook Pro that I ordered has a 15.4" display, 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chip and 2GB of RAM. It originally came with a 250GB 5400RPM drive but I "upgraded" to the 200GB 7200RPM drive. I spoke to a lot of people about the speed increase causing warmer temperatures and shorter battery life, but I don't think it'll be too much of an issue.
With this machine, I'll be able to go mobile for the first time in my computing history! Now I can finally leave my room to work on things like designs, blogging, homework, and all creative things! I hear that the wait is the worst part about getting a new Mac, and honestly, I'm super excited!

I recently ordered a Garmin navigation system and apparently something was wrong, so we had Amazon send us a new one. This was achieved all online in less than 10 minutes, without making a single phone call. I got an email response early in less than a day saying that they will be sending out a new unit as soon as possible with One-Day Shipping.
So then it was time for me to print the shipping label so the defective unit could be sent back, but that link was expired for some reason. In their email, they have this thing that asks if all of your questions were resolved. If you click no, it takes you to a page where you can either have Amazon call you, or you can contact them via email. More after the jump...
