Well, after a few months of thinking about purchasing a MacBook Pro, I've made the move and bought it! I current run on an iMac 24" (the last model before the Aluminum ones) with a 500GB HD and 2GB of RAM, which is a phenomenal machine!
The MacBook Pro that I ordered has a 15.4" display, 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chip and 2GB of RAM. It originally came with a 250GB 5400RPM drive but I "upgraded" to the 200GB 7200RPM drive. I spoke to a lot of people about the speed increase causing warmer temperatures and shorter battery life, but I don't think it'll be too much of an issue.
With this machine, I'll be able to go mobile for the first time in my computing history! Now I can finally leave my room to work on things like designs, blogging, homework, and all creative things! I hear that the wait is the worst part about getting a new Mac, and honestly, I'm super excited!
