It "looks" like a special effects-laden lightweight version of the original (I am not at all opposed to remakes, as long as filmmaking and storytelling quality is there). 2. I don't think Keanu Reeves acting is getting any better; he seems to have closed himself off to growth as a performer. His early work was interesting, even good, but I find him one-dimensional and overly impressed with himself. 3. The reviews have been pretty bad. I might watch it when it's on TV - sooner rather than later I'll bet - but even then I won't pass up doing something more interesting. Disappointing that hardly anything got blowed up though.
