I'm also doing a essay for it and sending it to the head the school district. and has to be aboit something I would love to see changed about my school and I love MMA and would love to see it in schools. and I was wondering if you guys could send me more information about why it would be good. like a list of pros and cons. Cause for some kids taking MMA is to expense and getting it as a sport or after school activity or club would help alot of kids make their dreams come true. if you guys could give more reasons why it should be in high schools around the world. My e-mail is DRUIZ6674@Student.peoriaud.k12.az.us please it would be helpful

Are you a student or a teacher? You will need to get parental consent for students under the age of 18, and a release form would have to be signed for the injuries that may potentially be incurred. You need to talk the head of the Physical Education department in the school, as I am sure they will have more to say about it, and know exactly what needs to be done.

The only risks that are involved with practicing Mixed Martials is the same as any other place. All practitioners need to insure that they control themselves, don't become too aggressive, and be considerate to others. The usual things may occur (just as with any other sport), such as twisted ankles, bruises, and so forth. Worst case scenarios include sprains, fractures, and broken bones, but this shouldn't be a problem as no one is really trying to hurt each other!

Hello, I am doing a persuasive essay over MMA in high schools. I believe that it does help teens get a better self-confidence and it does keep people active. I myself have recently started in MMA and others in my school are also involved in it. If anyone could please send me some more information so that it goes from an essay to something the school-board actually needs to consider.

Cody and Teddy, I am glad to see you two taking interest in this. It shows that there's a good chance for this to one day become a reality in high school gymnasiums.

Mixed Martial Arts has been gaining a lot more attention recently. As long as we keep on demonstrating that this is a serious sport with a ton of discipline and physical conditioning, those who don't care for it will eventually start to realize. Keep trying to hard to achieve the things you believe in. Keep practicing and stay healthy!

I'm also doing a persuasive speech for my class, and I titled it, "MMA in High School". I myslef is a participant in Mixed Marital Arts, but I do it outside of school. I think as well it would be fun for kids who like, and or love to fight. They do of course have to fight responsible. In High School it would give the chance to experience self-defense at a whole new level.

I am doing a presuasive speech for high school, and my topic that i chose was that MMA and Fight Clubs should be allowed in schools. This article helped a lot with the information, and if you have any more reasons to have MMA in high schools, please send them to my email. Thanks very much.

MMA is a great sport.

1.It is as dangerous as football and the risk of injury is about the same.
2.It gets kids off the couch seeing how it is a very physical sport requiring the entire body.
3.It develops confidence, friendship, leadership and life skills. Kids don't have to walk around scared and worried that they may be confronted in a situation and have no idea how to handle the situation. Sparring partners of various marital arts background can get together and teach each other a lot.
