Also, I am not a fan of Nike, one bad experience and they are now shit listed in my book. People swear by them, and I let it slide (how can they be so simple minded, and naive??? Crazy brand loyal consumers lol)

And to most people around me, being a Fanboy is something negative. To me, I think it’s a good term to use for someone who’s dedicated towards the things that work well for them.

“Fanboy (sometimes spelled fanboi) is a term used to describe an individual who is devoted to a single subject in an emotional or fanatical manner, or to a single point of view within that subject, often to the point where it is considered an obsession.”

I would therefore differentiate it to being either: a “fan” when you like a certain brand and would choose it given a choice, but are prepared to consider others if you can see that they have merits for a specific task; or a “fanboy” who argues that their chosen product is better than anything else with no exceptions — in other words an arsehole.
